Velour

Characteristics

Velour is a pure acrylic emulsion water based latex paint with superb elongation properties.

Its dry film gives a satin sheen finish and stands up to the harsh elements, specially water and outdoor weathering exposure. It is also available as a hygiene paint.

Pre-treatment

One of the most important conditions to ensure a satisfactory result is that the surface to be painted is clean, dry and compact without loose material such as efflorescence which must be removed prior to painting.

For first and successive coats thin up to 30% with clean, fresh water according to absorption. Some substrates need to dilute up to 50% to achieve normal working consistency.

Velour dries to touch within 1 hour at 25 degrees centigrade and can be recoated under normal condition in 2-3 hours.

Covering capacity

Approximately 17 square meters / liter depending on substrates with 30 microns film thickness.

Specific gravity

Approximately 1.2 5 depending on shade.

Storage

Should be stored in a cool place away from freezing and not subject to extremes of heat or placed in direct sunlight.
